Thursday....wow the week has gone so quickly

This trip has been different in the sense that I have not been doing many recoveries...on one hand I think that is my strongest skill....but what makes mission teams work is your willingness to do what ever it takes to get the job done....so I have shifted into the OR which is certainly not my comfort zone...but I have bonded with the OR nurses and am willing to learn.
We did three complex tympanomastoid surgeries, two septoplasty and one laryngoscope surgeries today.  Again today we had to cancel a surgery due to un diagnosed heart disease ...while sad these folk did not get their surgeries ...in the big picture...we have plugged them in to care...chest pain, SOB, family history of mother dieting at 45... These folk live outside the health care system.
We ate together at the Coya guest house...a nice quiet gathering of the whole team.
Not looking forward to tomorrow ...the last day always sad to me.
